Once upon a time there was a baker with bright blue eyes. He decided to make a gingerbread dog. He loved it very much. The dog had a red collar and a wagging tail with a smile on his face. The cookie had a nose as pink as roses and its fur was so brown that the baker named it Gingersnap. The baker loved making cookies, but this one was his favorite one.

The dog and the baker went for a walk. The cookie found a beautiful pile of shells. He touched one and realized that they were crabs. He started to run. Then he kept on running. He got a bit frightened when the crabs caught up to him! The baker soon caught up to him also. The baker was thrilled to see him again. The crabs snuck up on the dog and ate him all up! The baker brought a broom. He swept the crumbs all up.

Now he knows to never take cookies for a walk and to keep them in the cookie jar.
