IYSUS’ FIRST DAY
Today you begin kindergarten, the gateway to learning,
From this day forward your life will be turning.
Toward art, and songs and many things new,
Such as printing and ‘rithmetic to name just a few.
Many friends you will meet as you go on your way,
And as the days go by wonder blends with play.
Many things fun with your new friends you will share,
From games and music to dancing so fair!
Lunch boxes and manners you must not forget,
And always do your homework to become teacher’s pet!
As you learn from your teacher, school will be grand,
With new things to study, your mind will expand!
While the seasons change from fall through to spring,
Remember to cherish one most important thing,
Know Mom’s love will be there to guide you,
And be sure you count on your friends and family too!
So go to school each day little girl,
 Nurture your mind and be all you can be
And become the lady we all want to see.
At a time in the future that seems far away,
You will sit for a moment and look back on this day.
So many choices you will have as you please,
And this because you completed school with ease.
